    Description

First, let me just say that I am a collector, NOT a dealer. All of my items come from my personal collection that started in the 1960's when I was just a kid. I don't normally like to use the word "rare" for an item but in this case I am. This WW2 Australian commando dagger is quite rare these days. You just don't see them very often. Made by WHITTINGSLOWE. This one has been used and as you can see in photos.  7 9/16 inch double edge blade has been sharpened and used. Still has much of the original finnish remaining. Very nice markings to ricassos. Oval steel guard. Ribbed, compsite metal handle with some age cracks. still solid though. This is the same type of metal the U.S.M.C. WW2 stiletto by Camillus used and some of those have the same results with the age cracking. All very tight. The original sheath is well worn but 100% original to knife. Feint makers and war department markings, (R.G. Brown 1942 or 3 ).Overall a nice, hard to find WW2 Australian commando dagger.***U.S. SHIPPING ONLY ***. PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL INVOICED BY ME. PAYMENT DUE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF INVOICE. PLEASE ASK ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING AS ALL SALES ARE FINAL. THANK YOU.
