Millers Falls Vintage Mitre box

This mitre box is in just about the same condition as whenpurchased. I bought this Millers Falls mitre box and saw new in the mid 1970’sfrom a tool supplier near Chicago. It hasn’t seen much use since then. It hasseen no use in the past 10 years, and, from the looks of it I will not have afuture use for it. So it’s time to transfer the tool to someone who can appreciateit. I am not sure whether or not they call this vintage – it’s not really old enoughto be an antique. But you could take this mitre box and starting today put itto work eight hours a day every day for years to come. Or, a collector couldhave what is probably the best condition original Millers Falls 74 C that will comeup for sale. Another thing, someone familiar with these mitre boxes said thatfinding one with all of the stops and attachments would be as rare as winningthe lottery. This one has all of the attachments that came with the initialpurchase.
This mitrebox is fairly heavy, 30 pounds including the saw,so I think the best idea for shipping if unable to pick up would be for thebuyer to make packing and shipping arrangements with FedEx, UPS or similar. Iwould then drop the mitre box and saw off at your facility. Size is 11” x 8” x21” for the box and 8” x 33” for the saw.
