The banknote is green with brown and orange on the front. The front displays the portrait of Jan Van Riebeeck in an oval frame in the top left corner of the front. The front also shows a woman seated with an anchor in the bottom left corner, a wagon drawn by what looks like mules in the bottom center, a man with a rifle on horseback on a rock watching the wagon, and two cattle grazing. The back is also green in color and displays a sail ship in the middle of the ocean. The note is written in Afrikaans and English with the first line of the bank name and value in Afrikaans thus making this as Pick 95.
