CARTE DE VISITE (CDV) OF A CIVIL WAR SARGEANT.
This came with a group of 6th New Hampshire Infantry CDVs. Most of them were identified. That’s why we are certain this is also 6th NH Infantry.
Note that the backmark has a Civil War theme.
THE 6th NEW HAMPSHIRE VOLUNTEER INFANTRY REGIMENT WAS HEAVILY ENGAGED IN A LOT OF BATTLES. Please see the information at the bottom of the listing.
PHOTOGRAPHER. Backmark: "SCRIPTURE, 2 French's Block, Peterboro', N.H."
SIZE. Approximately 3 15/16 x 2 3/8 inches.
CONDITION. Photo: Soiling. Several dark spots and small marks. A few raised white spots in bottom portion. Mount: Light wear at corners. Back and front have soiling and spots, some of which are raised.
APPEARANCE. Good tones. Nice, relaxed pose.
