James Fisk Jr. (1835-1872) known as "the Barnum of Wall Street," was an American stockbroker and entrepreneur, and one of the most notorious robber barons of the Gilded Age. He achieved much ill-fame for his role in Black Friday in 1869, where he and his partner Jay Gould raided railroads, manipulated securities, and tried to corner the gold market in New York City. Several years later Fisk was murdered by a disgruntled business associate [wiki].
